Terms of Use

The short version: the free plan is free forever, whatever you create stays yours, and we don't do surprises — in pricing or in print.

1. Who we are, and what these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Hausjam S.R.L. (company details on the imprint page), the company behind Hausjam. They cover everything you do on hausjam.com: browsing the catalog, designing rooms in the studio, and any paid plan you subscribe to.

The Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the Refund Policy are part of these terms. By using Hausjam you accept all of them. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

2. The service, and what each plan unlocks

Hausjam lets you design rooms with real, buyable furniture: photograph a room, and we turn it into a 3D scene you can fill and rearrange with pieces from real shops.

  • Without an account you can design in one ready-made demo room.
  • With a free account you can save your work and keep unlimited rooms based on our ready-made room library — free forever, no card, no trial countdown.
  • With a paid plan you can bring your own photos in: your rooms and your furniture, up to the monthly quotas stated on the pricing page when you subscribe. When a quota is used up, new photo uploads pause until it resets — everything you have already created stays fully editable.

We keep improving Hausjam, which means features can change. We will not remove what you have paid for mid-period, and rooms you have created never expire — on any plan, even after you cancel.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 to create an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: what happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us something is wrong. Give us a real email address — it is how we reach you about your plan and any changes to these terms.

4. Your photos and rooms stay yours

Everything you upload or create on Hausjam — room photos, furniture photos, the 3D rooms built from them — belongs to you. We claim no ownership over any of it.

So that the service can work, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content — solely to operate Hausjam for you: turning your photos into 3D rooms, saving your designs, and showing them back to you. This licence is not perpetual and not transferable to anyone else, and it ends when you delete the content or your account, subject only to the 30-day recovery window described in the Privacy Policy.

We also use photos, in anonymized form, to improve Hausjam's own furniture detection and rendering — never for anything else, never shared, and you can turn this off. How that works, and the opt-out, are in the Privacy Policy. We never sell your content and never use it for advertising.

5. People and property in your photos

Only upload photos you have the right to use. If a photo shows an identifiable person, make sure they are fine with you using it here. Rooms photographed in someone else's home or business are their call, not ours.

Your photos stay private to your account either way — and people and faces are removed before any anonymized improvement use, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. What you may not do

  • Break the law, or upload content that does.
  • Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the catalog, prices, renders or any other part of the service — including for training AI models.
  • Reverse-engineer the service or probe it for vulnerabilities (if you find one by accident, tell us — we will be grateful, not difficult).
  • Resell access to Hausjam or offer it as your own service — that's what the Enterprise plan is for.
  • Work around quotas, plan limits or security measures.

If an account seriously or repeatedly crosses these lines we can suspend or close it — see section 10.

7. The catalog, prices, and buying

Every piece in the catalog is a real product from a real seller. When you are ready to buy, we hand you the direct link to each piece at its seller — the purchase itself is a contract between you and that seller, on the seller's terms. Hausjam is not (yet) the merchant.

We keep prices and availability current, but a seller can change a price or run out of stock on their own site before you get there — the seller's page is always the final word. Statutory return rights for furniture you buy — including the EU 14-day withdrawal right for distance purchases — apply with the seller; the Refund Policy explains who handles what.

8. How accurate the preview is

Hausjam shows pieces true to scale, in your room's real proportions, lit by its real light — up to 98% accurate. It is a very good answer to "will it fit and how will it look", and we stand behind that.

It is still a preview, not a measuring tape. For anything where centimetres decide the outcome — built-ins, tight doorways, stairwells on the delivery route — check the seller's published dimensions before you order. We are not responsible for purchase decisions made on the preview alone, and colours can render differently across screens.

9. Plans, billing, and cancelling

Paid plans renew automatically — monthly or yearly, as chosen — until you cancel. Cancel anytime, effective at the end of the period you have paid for; no questions asked, nothing further charged. We email you before a yearly renewal.

Switching plans mid-cycle works the way the FAQ promises: upgrades apply immediately and we prorate what you have already paid; downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period, and until then you keep everything you paid for, including any unused yearly pool. Withdrawal rights and refunds are in the Refund Policy.

10. Ending things

By you: delete your account anytime in account settings. Your data is recoverable for 30 days and then permanently erased, as described in the Privacy Policy. Cancelling a paid plan is gentler: your rooms stay yours — saved and fully editable on the free plan, forever.

By us: we can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms. Unless the breach makes it impossible, we will warn you first and give you a chance to respond, and you can always export-by-screenshot and contest the decision via the contact form.

11. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything the law does not allow us to limit.

Beyond that: we are liable for damage caused by our breach of these terms up to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. We are not liable for the products, deliveries or sites of sellers (your contract there is with them), or for the service being briefly unavailable — we work hard to keep it up, but no web service can promise 100%.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, cancel before that date and the old terms apply until the end of your paid period. Using Hausjam after the date means the new terms apply. Editorial fixes that do not affect your rights can happen without notice.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, the mandatory consumer protections of your home country still apply, and you can bring a dispute before your home courts. No arbitration clauses, no class-action waivers — that is not how we want to win an argument.

Talk to us first via the contact form; almost everything is fixable in one email. Romanian consumers can also turn to ANPC (the national consumer protection authority, anpc.ro), including its out-of-court dispute resolution (SAL).
