Refund Policy

The short version: barely used your plan? Contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right. Once a plan has seen significant use — rooms created, pieces imported — it's been delivered, and we don't refund delivered work.

1. The promise, in plain terms

If you subscribed and it turns out Hausjam is not for you, tell us within 14 days and — if the plan has barely been used — you get your money back, in full, no interrogation. Once a plan has seen significant use (rooms created from your photos, pieces imported), the thing you paid for has been delivered, and we don't refund delivered work.

Everything below is that promise, written out the way the EU consumer rules require.

2. Your 14-day withdrawal right (subscriptions)

As an EU consumer you can withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. Just tell us within those 14 days — no form needed, plain words are fine.

One thing to know, because it is how digital services work under EU law: when you subscribe, you ask us to start the service immediately rather than making you wait two weeks. Withdraw with the plan unused or barely touched and the refund is full. Withdraw after using part of it and the refund is proportionate to what is left. And once a plan has seen significant use — rooms created, pieces imported — the service has been delivered in full, and the withdrawal right has been used up with it.

Whatever happens to the money, your rooms stay yours: saved and fully editable on the free plan, forever.

3. Yearly plans

The same 14 days apply when you buy or renew a yearly plan. Worth knowing before you decide: on yearly billing your entire year's quota is available from day one — which also means a yearly plan can reach "significant use" quickly if you dive in. Renovating this month and unsure about the rest of the year? Start monthly; you can switch to yearly anytime.

4. Switching plans mid-cycle

Upgrades apply immediately, and we prorate what you have already paid — you never pay twice for the same days. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period; until then you keep everything you paid for, including any unused yearly pool. No refunds are needed for switches, because no money is lost in one.

5. Renewals and cancelling

Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling is self-service, anytime, effective at the end of the period you paid for. We email you before a yearly renewal, so an annual charge never arrives as a surprise. If a renewal slipped past you anyway, write to us within 14 days of the charge — the withdrawal right in section 2 applies to renewals too.

6. Furniture is a different story (a better one)

Hausjam doesn't charge you for furniture — when you buy, you buy directly from the seller, and the product pages' "14-day returns apply" line refers to thatpurchase: the EU's statutory 14-day return right for distance purchases, which you exercise with the seller, on the seller's process. Returns, exchanges and furniture refunds are theirs to handle.

That said, if a seller is giving you a hard time about a piece you found through Hausjam, tell us. We choose who is in the catalog, and how sellers treat returns is part of staying in it.

7. How to ask for a refund

The contact form is the fastest way — pick the Support topic, say when you subscribed and that you want to withdraw, and a real person picks it up. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days, usually much sooner.
