1. What we build on

Hausjam uses open data and open-source work from other people. This page credits them and names the licence each one carries.

2. IP address data

IP address data is powered by IPinfo.

We use the IPinfo Lite database, released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence, to make one guess: which of our two currencies to show you before you have chosen one. You can change both the currency and the shopping country whenever you like, and your choice always wins.

The lookup happens on our server, from the address your connection already sends us, and the result is a country — never a street, a person, or anything narrower. We do not store your IP address, and we set no cookie for this.

3. Open-source software

The site itself is built on a large amount of open-source software — Next.js, React, Vendure and their dependencies among them. Their licences travel with the packages, and we keep the notices intact rather than reproducing every one here.

If you maintain something we depend on and would like the credit spelled out on this page, tell us and we will add it.
