Autumn wants pile, not another object

When the light drops, the temptation is to fill the gloom with stuff. Stuff creates more edges, and edges read as clutter in low light.

Change the hand of what you already own: a denser rug, a wool throw on the sofa you already placed, lampshades that cut glare. The plan can stay.

If you must add a piece, add heat — a wood chair where a metal one was, a fabric shade where a bare bulb was. Test that swap in the studio rather than adding a fourth table.

October is a textile month. November is too late to discover the sofa cloth is cold.
