A bedroom that is only a bed is a waiting room

Birt

The bed will win the floor. That does not mean it should own every decision. A room you only enter to sleep in still has to hold a Tuesday evening when you are not ready to lie down.

A chair that is not a laundry pile needs a clear 70 cm in front of it. A chest that takes tomorrow's shirt needs to open without hitting the bed frame. Those are studio questions, not catalogue ones.

If the only leftover space is a sliver along one wall, consider a slimmer frame or wall-hung shelves rather than a second bulky chest. The chair is often worth more than the extra drawers.

Try the bed, the chair, and the chest together. A beautiful headboard that forces the chair into the door swing is not a bedroom plan.
