See the sofa in the room that will actually hold it

A product shot is a stage. The sofa sits in a pale void, the seat looks generous, the arm looks slim. Then the crate arrives and the same sofa eats the bay window. Nothing about the listing lied. The listing just never met your room.

Hausjam starts from the opposite end. You bring a photograph of the space you already live in. The studio rebuilds that floor, those walls, that window. Then a catalog piece drops onto the boards at the centimetres the seller published — not a styled approximation.

Colour shifts with the lamp you actually turn on at seven. A rust velvet that looked calm on a white sweep can go brick-red next to oak. You notice that before money leaves the account.

If you only do one thing before the next furniture order, do this: stand the candidate in the room it has to survive. The studio is built for that single, slightly unromantic check.
