A car-shaped bed is a complete sentence. It has no sequel. The child who loved it at five will not forgive it at ten, and the frame is awkward to hand on.
A plain low bed, a wardrobe with adjustable rails, and a desk that is not printed with dinosaurs can take new bedding and a new lamp when taste turns. The expensive parts stay.
Leave floor that is not a bed. Play happens on the boards. In the studio, if the bed and wardrobe already fill the plan, the room will feel finished in the worst sense.
You can always add a themed quilt. You cannot subtract a themed carcass without a Saturday and a skip.
