An accent chair that faces nobody is leftover seating

Közzétéve

Accent chairs are sold as finishing touches. In use they are either a second conversation or a handsome dump zone. The difference is the angle.

Turn the chair toward the sofa or the window seat, not toward the wall. In the studio, if that rotation blocks the path to the kitchen, the chair is too much furniture for the leftover corner.

A pair of small chairs can be more useful than one imposing lounge chair, because they can face each other without claiming a stage.

If there is no one for the chair to face, the room does not need the chair. It needs the floor.
