Treat the loggia as a room, even if it is two square metres

Balconies in this part of Europe are often glazed, narrow, and immediately demoted to drying and boxes. That is a waste of the only extra sky the flat has.

One chair, not a lounge set. One table that can hold a cup, not a dining height you will never use. Measure the door swing: many loggia doors steal the only wall that could take the chair.

Drop a slim outdoor chair in the studio if you have a photo of the balcony. If it blocks the door or the rail, it is the wrong chair, however pretty the teak.

A space you sit in once a week is still a room. A space you only enter to fetch the laundry is a cupboard with a view.
