A reading corner needs a wall more than it needs a view

A lounge chair in the window is a photograph. A lounge chair with its back to a wall, a lamp over the left shoulder, and a small table for the cup is a place you will sit.
Floating chairs demand a room large enough that they do not become obstacles. In a normal apartment they become the thing people walk around on the way to the kitchen.
Place the chair in the studio against the wall you thought was leftover. If a 40 cm table still fits on the lamp side, you have a corner. If not, the chair is too wide for that leftover.
Views are for glancing. Walls are for staying. Reading is a staying activity.
